My Story
Welcome to Stephen’s Trails & Tales!
Growing up, I wanted to be an adventurer. I was probably influenced a little too much by National Geographic, "My Side of the Mountain," & daydreams. Thanks to real-world wake up calls & day-to-day life, I found myself lost in the rat race. I wanted to be the best I could be at work, I wanted to have that shiny sports car. Here's the plot twist: I hated it. One evening, my wife booked a spontaneous trip to visit the Olympic National Park, I bought a camera.
We headed out to the Pacific Northwest to have the first real vacation in our relationship (almost 11 years). While I was there, I fell in love with taking pictures & remembered the bond that I'd forgotten I had with nature. While nature belongs to no man & time waits for no one, taking a picture feels like this piece of nature, this moment of time belongs to me.
I have decided to create this space in hopes that you get to see these fragments of mass & time that I have collected; hopefully, you enjoy them. I welcome you all & thank you even more.
