Oak Hill Trail to Sylvan Pond

About the Trail

A light hike on the Oak Hill loop in Cuyahoga Valley National Park with a group of local hiking enthusiasts!

Oak Hill is a 1.4 mile loop hike with very manageable terrain. A perfect opener to this year’s hiking series.

❋ Sylvan Pond

This is the reward. A beautiful pond surrounded by old-growth forest. A great spot to relax, watch waterfowl and get to know your neighbors.

❋ Local Led

Led by Stephen Garber, a nature photographer who was born and raised right here in Northeast Ohio

Connect with local hiking enthusiasts for a great morning out on the trail!

What to Bring?

❋  Hiking Boots/Shoes (or sturdy shoes you don't mind getting muddy)
❋  Water/Water Bottle
❋ OPTIONAL: Binoculars
❋ OPTIONAL: Camera

❋  Please arrive to the trailhead by 09:30 AM
❋  Trailhead: 3901 Oak Hill Road, Peninsula, OH 44264
❋  Amenities: Parking, toilets and trail kiosk
❋  IMPORTANT: While the goal is bring the community together for a fun hiking experience, we do not own the trail, nor will we be the only ones on it. Please keep conversations at a polite volume as to not interfere with anyone else's enjoyment of the trail.
❋ NOTE: Cameras are welcome, but this particular event will not be photography focused.
